  1. There are 3 good books on picnics There are 3 good books on picnics: The Picnic, Le Picnic, and this one. This is by far the best. It is more than twice the number of pages (with larger format) and has many good photos that tantalize you. However, the main strength of this book is the quality and number of recipes. My wife and I kept saying “Oh, that sounds really good” or “We have to have that at a dinner party” or “We definitely want to try that”, and so on. Very few old, tried and true recipes,…

  2. They were both excellent. I have the pork chops for the Mustard-Herb … I pre-ordered this cookbook. When it came, I sat down to flip through it. I was impressed with the range of recipes. I have made a couple of the appetizers that were a big hit; the Roasted Garlic Black-Eyed Pea Hummus and the Fancy Figs. They were both excellent. I have the pork chops for the Mustard-Herb Grilled Pork Chops in the marinade as I type this review. When I get a new cookbook, if there are two or three “keeper recipes” in it, I feel like I got my money’s worth. This…
