Licence To Grill – Volume 1

Licence To Grill is a series that celebrates the joys of summer and the BBQ. Each episode takes place on a Saturday afternoon as host Rob Rainford prepares to have people over for dinner that evening in his backyard. With the bbq as the central theme, Rob shows us the how’s and why’s of perfect bbq-ology with recipes ranging from the super delicious and simple (perfect hamburgers, steaks, kabobs) to more ambitious fare (leg of lamb, hot smoking sides of fish, grilled desserts). The focus is on the ease of preparation, and the fun that a group of people can have when there’s food “on the barby”.

  1. Contents of Purchase Fans of the show may enjoy a bit of nostalgia watching this set, but it has some serious issues. The biggest problem will be for people who don’t own . The show was shot in a stylized format, so measurements don’t normally get discussed. Chris Knight used to have the episodes and recipes on a website, but that is down, so anyone expecting a basic recipe will be disappointed.The second…

  2. Best show on grilling ever! Volume 1 contains 2 DVDs with 5 episodes per DVD. It’s a mixture from season 1 – 5. Each episode last about 22min (no commercials). The video format is probably 480i which is a little better than YouTube quality, but not as good as satellite or cable. This product is priced a little high. I didn’t like assuming it’s a complete season. I asked Amazon for details on this DVD before I purchased it and received no feedback.
