  1. Very convenient and easy to carry. I sold my Traeger Junior that I used for camping and picnics. The new PTG is so much more convenient and portable. The grill size is smaller, only 12×15, but it’s plenty for cooking up about six burgers, a chicken, or a pork butt. It’s not tall enough for a beer can chicken, but that’s what my Lil Tex is for. I noticed a new feature on the controller. The “shutdown cycle”. Keeps the fan running for 10 minutes to burn out any remaining pellets. That way your firebox doesn’t get plugged up…

  2. Found a better stand for the Traeger PTG I love our Traeger. Many have mentioned dissatisfaction with the stand, and I totally agree. We use ours with our motorhome, and the 18 screws and bolts on the stand are a nuisance, to say the least. I started looking for an alternative, and found that the O- Dock for the O Grill works perfectly. The short legs on the PTG even match up to the intentions on the table for the O Grill.   3. I have a Treager Elite and I really like it. I really like the way the food tastes compared to LPG cooking. That being said, I am really disappointed with this BBQ. Took it camping for the first use. Mistake. Unit would not hold a preset temp. Cooking at 350 it went to 425, back to 180, started smoking and returned to the 425 temp and then began to cool. Cooking was near impossible due to temp. problems. Contacted Treager and was told how to start and cook with the BBQ. That didn’t work, same…
