The ash tool is useful for raking ashes out of the bottom vent door of the grill as well as stirring hot coal in the firebox. Even though our grills are extremely efficient, you will need to rake the ashes out of your grill from time to time. This is a recommended tool.

Seems stupid but actually perfect for the job. When I bought my this was a recommended purchase. I had no idea how essential it was. My only complaint is that, given how perfectly it does its job and how much the Primo Oval XL costs, it should have just come with the unit – but that is perhaps an issue for the review on the grill itself. In any case, don’t think about it, just get it – if you have a Primo grill your life will be needlessly harder…
