  1. REAL SOUTHERN COOKIN’ AT ITS BEST I just received the book today. I was pleasantly surprised at the variety of recipes, and noted that not all the recipes require whiskey.Obviously, the focus is on barbecue. However, it also includes sides, breads, desserts, beverages, etc. I like that it’s not a cumbersome book, and that many recipes list common ingredients. There are also little essays you can read.Quite honestly, there are recipes I know I won’t make, as is true for most people with most cookbooks…

  2. I USED TO LIVE IN TN. SOME YRS AGO AN WAS FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO VISIT THE JACK DANIELS DISTILLERY IN LYNCHBERG SEVERAL TIMES.
