Base requires batteries After trying to use this thermometer to cook a whole chicken… it would’ve been nice if somewhere in the included instructions it mentioned that the base requires batteries to fully function. After realizing that, it’s been smooth sailing. This is definitely the best and easiest thermometer I’ve ever used and I have now made three whole chickens and just last night cooked a four pound roast beef in the oven to perfection. I couldn’t recommend this more and I’m excited to use it again tonight…
