Note: The probe can be put the probe into meat and left in an open oven since it is high temperature resistant,
but it can’t be left in a closed oven as the temp is higher than 482°F.
DON NOT put the main body of this thermometer into oven since it is made of ABS.

  1. I was looking for a replacement probe for my old Polder thermometer. For basically the price of the probe, I get a new thermometer And 2 probes. I like my old Polder a lot better, but that was 3x the price. I see another Polder model that looks identical to this, which makes me wonder if it is the same unit relabeled. Either way, I don’t care, because this was 11 bucks. It should be noted that BATTERIES are NOT INCLUDED. But for the price, it doesn’t matter. Batteries usually included suck…

  2. My other meat thermometer died awhile back, so I needed to find something to replace it. I was excited to see that this thermometer lets you set the temperature you desire, OR select the doneness you would like, i.e., rare, medium rare, etc. That is a big improvement for me. It also has magnets so you can stick it on your stove, fridge, any metal surface. I have used it successfully with my oven range and toaster oven.The screen is easy to use and an improvement over the buttons…

  3. I bought this as a replacement after my old probe thermometer died on me. Firstly, this thermometer has a big, beautiful touchscreen is sooo easy to read! It is preprogrammed for 5 different types of meat ( including Lamb!) & their varying degrees of doneness! It comes with 2 detachable & interchangeable probes as well. The only downside is it uses batteries – I would love to have this as a USB rechargeable. As long as you remember to turn it off after use, the batteries should last a long…
