  1. This unit could have caused a fire. I owned the smoker for two years and three weeks. The units temperature controller was not accurate the temp fluctuated from one use to the next. The thermometer on the outer door was off by as much as 30 degrees.While preparing to smoke a turkey for a Christmas party on 12/17/17 I noticed a spark where the thermostat controller plugs into the smoker. After living in Texas and moving back to the Northeast, we longed for real smoked food as opposed to the liquid smoke additive most local restaurants use. This was perfect.   3. Tastes amazing… very easy Love it! Smokes delicious foods and all you have to do is plug it in and set the temperature dial. I’ve made some amazing smoked pulled pork, beer can chickens, ribs, etc… tastes exactly the same as meat I’ve smoked using traditional wood/pellet smokers.One caveat… if it’s below freezing g outside this smoker will fall a little short.
