All The Bells and Whistles of a Thermapen and More I have been looking for a meat thermometer like this and it has all the bells and whistles you will ever need for grilling, smoking or checking the temp on your turkey in the oven. I refused to spend $99.00 for a Thermapen and I am now glad I didn’t. This thermometer does everything the Thermapen does and more. The only difference I could even possibly tell is that this thermometer reads out in 3 to 4 seconds vs. Thermapen reading out in under 3 seconds. Not a big deal that I can see…

  2. Accurate and easy to use! We really like this thermometer. The folding probe is great with the auto on and off when you move it. I like that you don’t have to put it away in a sleeve and possibly get the sleeve dirty if someone forgets to wash it. The backlight is a nice bonus, but the LCD numbers are big enough to read clearly without it. (Unless you’re outside grilling in the dark) The temp is accurate and the thinner probe is easier to insert than others. There is a magnet on the back, but it only seems to stick on…
