  1. Listen to the fork! I purchased this as a gift for my son and he loves it. He grills quite a bit and was using a kitchen probe thermometer. Most of the time it worked fine if you don’t mind your hand getting a little hot and the probe wasn’t always long enough to reach the center of a butt roast or other larger piece of meat.   3. Close by not quite right I BBQ a lot, probably 3-4 times a week. This is my second BBQ temp probe fork. It works and has held up for a while now (over a year). It has a number of issues that I don’t like. The temp reads about 10 degs less than my previous similar fork (diff brand). It is pretty slow to react to the temp of the meat, often taking 30-40 seconds to get a stable reading (need to be sure your hand isn’t ove the grill or you’ll be cooking that too).
