Never burn your hands again when handling hot objects on the grill or from the oven. Mitt has silicone on the surface for superior grip and the individual fingers provide great dexterity. Reversible for left or right hand. Hand wash and hang to dry. Don’t be shy; The Pit Mitt is great for the oven, stove top or anywhere you come in contact with hot surfaces. Please note: The Pit Mitt is not meant for use over the recommended temperature of 475. F (246 C).

Fits better than most gloves and can be worn on either right or left hand (view larger).

Handle hot items around and directly off a very hot grill with Charcoal Companion’s Pit Mitt, an aramid fiber glove with soft blended cotton lining. Reversible for left or right hand, the Pit Mitt has a silicone-textured surface for superior grip.

The glove’s aramid fibers are the same as used in spacesuits and firefighter gear. The fit of this glove allows for more pronounced usage around and on the grill surface. You can easily pick up and handle small skewers or handles that might be difficult to do with other grill gloves. And the glove extends past the wrist for more protection of the hand and lower arm, which makes it great for dumping a chimney full of blazing hot coals, or replacing a screaming hot grill grate. Wear this glove on either the right or left hand and rest assured that you’ve got a great, heat resistant grip with the textured silicone pattern on the glove’s exterior.

Able to fit most size hands, the Pit Mitt is heat safe up to 475 degrees F. Hand wash only, and air dry.

  1. Good For Grilling, But Use With Caution. I’ve had a pair of these for about a year now and even though they have faided a bit, they still do their job. But caution must be used, the gloves will be rendered useless if they get wet or you have sweaty hands; the moisture will allow heat to build up and cause burns. The instructions clearly state that the gloves must be kept dry when grilling. Also, these are not oven mits, so do not expose them to direct heat for prolonged periods of time. They are meant for those short…

  2. I bought these gloves after a previous purchase of silicone oven gloves that proved to be an epic fail. I’ve had this pair for awhile and wanted to use them to give an honest opinion. I give them five stars for the following reasons:1) No one has been burned! (unlike silicone glove previously mentioned) 2) The glove extends well up your forearm to protect you from burns on wrists and arms (I am a female 5’3″). 3) Rubber grips on gloves help prevent slips. 4) Soft material fits any position…
