the small one fits most grills best This is third smoker box I tried and first that worked well. It doesn’t create a cold spot on the grill above the box, and because it sits down in the grill it stays hot enough to keep the smoker chips smoking.But I bought large size. With a standard size grill (Weber Genesis ), you need to remove both grill grates to refill chips. With a hot grill this is an awkward and somewhat hazardous task. Works better than described!!! Smoker box arrived sooner than expected and I used it the next day. I cooked a pork picnic roast with the skin on and the addition of the box and Hickory chips added a wonderful smoke flavor to the meat.
