  1. MUST HAVE KAMADO ACCESSORY Besides the cover, this smokin stone is the only other accessory we purchased for our new Char Griller Akorn Kooker. It appears to be made of the same ceramic type material as “pizza stones” and should double as one if you want to cook a pizza on the Akorn. It does a wonderful job of deflecting the direct heat when cooking roast, chicken and other foods that you don’t want direct heat for. Fits perfectly on the tabs inside the Akorn. One note it does turn dark brown after several uses…

  2. Don’t Smoke Without It If you have the Kamado Akorn grill then this is a must have. It will allow you to cook with indirect heat, can’t smoke meats low and slow without it. It is well made and should last forever. It sits low enough in the grill to allow for a 2 inch tall drip pan to sit right on top of it for a water pan or to catch drippings. Top of the stone to the bottom of the cooking grate on the Akorn is 3 inches. I have smoked chickens, brisket, pork loin, and burgers and they have come out perfect. Worth the…
