  1. Amazeballs!!! I’m a single lady with a house and I bought 2 of these handy bad boys because they sounded like a super cool gadget, wasn’t sure what i’d use them for bought it anyway. WOW – i’ve used this gadget almost everyday! I’ve checked that the air coming out of my AC is cold, what the temperature is in different rooms in my house, and 25 ft ceilings, if my pizza is safe to eat without getting pizza palate, I also insulated the compressor pipe on the outside of my house. Used this gadget to see what…

  2. Accuracy Reviewed Overall this is an excellent product. The grip is nice, the display screen has a backlight and you can’t beat the price.A simple way to test the accuracy of this thermometer is to measure the temperature of a pot of boiling water. This will roughly give you a temperature of 212 F. Boiling water, in equilibrium (or the entire fluid being the same temperature) will maintain 212F no matter how quickly the water is evaporating. The reason this is a rough estimate is that the boiling…

  3. One of the few five star products I’ve purchased at Amazon At the suggestion of a few people in a cooking thread at the-boneyard.com, I purchased this infrared thermometer. I had asked a question about the best pan to sauté mushrooms and onions, and was told the temperature which the butter/oil is added is far more important.Sticking with my good old cast iron pan, and used this infrared thermometer to wait until the pan was at the right temperature. It seriously makes all the difference. Too low, and everything smokes up and sticks to…
