I used this tonight to cook a pork sirloin roast on my Traeger smoker and it worked great. The design is definitely fine for me I have a record of killing my BBQ thermometers. I have no idea what happens, but after 6 most to a year, they all just kind of stop working. It’s always the temp unit, too, not just the probe. I bought this solely based on the cheap price and the mostly favorable reviews. I used this tonight to cook a pork sirloin roast on my Traeger smoker and it worked great. The design is definitely fine for me. I don’t use programs, presets or alarms…just a screen that tells me what temperature the meat…
Quite possibly the best thermometer for the money I received this as a gift for Christmas and right out of the box I was surprised by the quality. Figuring this would easily go for 50-75$, I jumped on Amazon and was astonished by the affordability of the product. It has a stainless steel braided chord which makes it easy to cook on the grill and run the line out without fear of damage.
