There is some assembly required. The brush heads are attached to the handle using 4 stainless steel screws. Lefty loosey, righty tighty.

You will need to find a number 2 Phillips head screwdriver to use for assembly or borrow one from your neighbor, a family member or even a complete stranger, BUT at least you get a free screwdriver out of the deal.
