Turning the valve on a propane tank & twisting the control knob is all it takes to start this smoker. The tightly sealed doors will help with consistency while adjusting the back vent will raise or lower the smoker’s temperature. My only issue is that I don’t care for the water and wood pan. The pan is very thin and the water dissipates very quickly which is okay but getting fresh wood to smoke is very hard. The pan dries out so you have to baby sit the smoker which goes against having a propane smoker, you have to keep putting water in it. They send you an extra pan for water but then it takes up one of the racks…
