3 Month Lifespan tops.. Pretty cheaply made, but it fell apart in about a year. Here are the problems in order:1. The handle is made of cheap wood, with no metal core to it at all. The screws holding it together loosened quickly and needed tightened with each use, and the wood eventually rotted and crumbled, leaving no handle at all. Purchased this item March 27 2012, as of June 14 2012 it is now in 4 pieces in my backyard. As a chimney it worked. But other reviews of excessively long heating times are accurate. Wooden dowel grip does spin. Handle is very cheap and flimsy, in fact that is what broke entirely on my version. The paint does peel very quickly and it also rusts extensively.
